What do I do if my water is cut off?

If your water has been cut off, please visit our office located at 1059 Washington Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065 to restore service.

Where does my water come from?

Shelbyville Municipal Water utilizes surface water from Guist Creek Lake for the Shelbyville area while the remainder of customers are served by purchasing water from Louisville Water Company.

When and where are the monthly Shelbyville Municipal Water & Sewer Commission meetings?

The meetings are held in the basement of our office located at 1059 Washington Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065 on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 PM.

Can I use DOXO to make my water or sewer payment?

No, DOXO is a third-party online bill payment website - they are NOT affiliated in any way with the Shelbyville Water & Sewer Commission (SMWSC). ​ DOXO may charge additional fees, and SMWSC cannot control when or even if payments will be received. Any late payments will result in interest and penalties being applied to your account.

How can I get Shelbyville Water & Sewer underground pipes marked on my property?

Please call (502) 633-2840 and allow 2-3 business days for locates.
For EMERGENCY locates after business hours, please call (502) 633-2840 and you will be directed to the on-call service person. SMWSC is not a participant in the 811 Call Before You Dig system.
